Welcome back to the start of the Summer Term. We have quite a busy term ahead and I would like to bring one or two matters to parents’ attention before giving you some dates for your diaries.
Bank Holiday Monday
School will be closed on Monday, 4 May for the Bank Holiday. Have a lovely long week-end – the weather forecast is good so I expect you’ll all be enjoying the sunshine.
Bats – Ball Games for All
Get the holiday week-end off to a swinging start and join Mr Ridley at Bats from 10.00am to 12.20pm on Saturday, 2 May. This is the first of the summer’s regular meetings on the field in front of

Caterhouse Ltd apologise for any inconvenience this may cause parents.
School Uniform and PE Kit
I have noticed that some children are not wearing the correct school uniform. Please ensure that your child has a school cardigan or sweatshirt, grey or black skirt or trousers / shorts and comfortable black school shoes (not trainers). Girls may now wear blue and white check dresses for the summer with white socks.
Please be aware that children in Year 6 will be taking their SATs during the week commencing 11 May. Parents should make sure that their children are in school promptly during this week to avoid disruption to the exam timetable.
Years 3, 4 and 5 will also be sitting Optional Tests during the same period. Please assure them that there is nothing to be anxious about and that they can only do their best for any of the tests.
Car Parking
You should have received a leaflet from Bracknell Forest Borough Council regarding considerate car parking. Please read this carefully and take on board any of the suggestions that are relevant to you. As part of the School’s Travel Plan I would like to encourage as many children as possible to walk or cycle to school as this would help to ease the traffic and car parking locally.
